Bridgend Young Carers Network

Bridgend Young Carer Network is a non-profit organisation, which is a partnership between Bridgend County Borough Council, Bridgend Carers Centre, Whitehead Ross, Bridgend Inclusive Network Group, Bavo, Tu Vida, Halo, Awen, Bridgend College and Bridgend County Primary and Secondary schools.

The purpose of the network is to provide a platform for Young Carers and Young Adult Carers to have their voice heard and acted upon.

The Network is driven by Young Carers Ambassadors and holds large events on a regular basis attracting over 80 Young Carers.

As part of the Network, We are Valued Days have been developed driving wellbeing opportunities for young carers forwards, with the premise of ensuring young carers can have time doing something that they like, linked to supporting their wellbeing, but also making new friends with other young carers across Bridgend.

The Network provides events and network days which provide an opportunity for Young Carers to meet other Young Carers, gather information and support to help them with their caring role, enabling them to make time for themselves whilst enjoying a range of health and wellbeing activities as well as co designing the aims and objectives of the Network.
