Awen Cultural Trust provides a host of activities for children and young people throughout the summer through its theatres, libraries, outdoor spaces and venues:
Bryngarw Country Park has a busy schedule of events this summer, including outdoor theatre, story and crafts and junior rangers sessions.
Awen Libraries offer various sessions for people of all ages, including bounce and rhyme, storytime and craft and Kidz Club. The Summer Reading Challenge also offers activities to take part in while completing the fun challenge of reading six or more library books during the school summer holidays to earn rewards including stickers, medals and certificates.
You can also enjoy theatrical performances through Awen’s theatres – with Maesteg Town Hall and Porthcawl’s Grand Pavilion offering fantastic performances (while the Grand Pavilion is undergoing renovation, a schedule of Pop up Pavillion events and performances are taking place across Porthcawl).
